FibreTrace® has won Best Use of Technology for Good at the Drapers Sustainable Fashion Awards 2021, which took place virtually on 10 March, 2021.
The awards recognise the strides that are being made in reducing the fashion industry’s environmental impact and creating fairer working conditions across the supply chain.
Judged by an independent panel of sustainability and fashion retail experts, the awards shine a spotlight on best practice within the industry, so others can learn how to change for good.
The panel described FibreTrace®’s patented technology as “truly transformative”, harnessing the ability to impact the supply chain’s traceability and transparency on a huge scale. “This could truly put an end to one of the industry’s biggest problems, making it lifechanging!”
Drapers trade magazine has been the UK fashion industry’s “bible” since 1887. The awards, launched in 2020, are open to fashion brands, retailers and suppliers that operate in the UK and Republic of Ireland.
Jill Geoghegan, acting editor of Drapers, said: “Despite the challenges thrown up by the coronavirus pandemic, fashion brands and retailers increasingly recognise that sustainability is a business imperative.
The Drapers Sustainable Fashion Awards highlight and celebrate these advancements, paving the way for a more responsible future for the industry.”
